Lesson 1 - Introduction to Encaustic Painting. 2 hr - $95

No experience necessary

Learn about the history, tools, safety, prepping your surface and the basics of encaustic painting - You end the lesson by painting and fusing the first few layers of clear encaustic medium onto a birch panel.....the beginning of all encaustic paintings!

Lesson 2 - Adding Colour 1 hr - $75

Prerequisite - Introduction to Encaustic Painting or experience painting with encaustic medium

Learn to use tinted encaustic medium, oil sticks and pan pastels to create depth and the initial layers of your painting.

 

Lesson 3 - Adding Texture 1hr - $75

Prerequisite - Introduction to Encaustic Painting or experience painting with encaustic medium

Learn some of the techniques for adding texture to your painting with - accretion, incising, and scraping

Lesson 4 - Embedding 1hr - $75

Prerequisite - Introduction to Encaustic Painting or experience painting with encaustic medium

Learn about the materials that can (and can't) be embedded into encaustic paintings, and you'll embed something into your painting
